Musician Bobi Wine has claimed that Buganda Kingdom is selling their land to the Chinese.

He made the claims while entertaining revelers that had turned up in big numbers at One Love beach in Busabaala for his Easter Monday show.

Performing his song “Byekwaso”, Bobi Wine changed the lyrics in the second verse of the song to hit at Buganda Kingdom. He claimed that Buganda officials are evicting locals so that the land can been sold to the Chinese.

“Nze ekinnuma etaaka baliguza ba China nga fe abaana bewaka basendaawo buseenzi. Tugende Gulu? Tugenda Bunyoro? tugendawa?” He sang. “Ela bwoguula etaaka nga wesiize abo nze mba nkusasidde… bebaamu abalikuguuza atte nebakusendaawo.”

This comes after officials from Mengo Royal Treasury (Nkuluze) descended on One Love beach with graders and leveled part of it recently. It was said that Bobi Wine had allegedly failed to heed to a directive from Mengo Royal Treasury to peacefully vacate the contested land.

The “Time Bomb” singer was left in melancholy and has since decided to seek legal redress in the courts of law.
