Lady Gaga is constantly compared to the singing icon Madonna, but now it appears they may have even more in common than just their music and fashion styles.
According to The Guardian, the singers may be facing prosecution after Russian officials stated they both performers violated immigration laws while touring the country last year. Gaga and Madge had arrived to the country using only cultural-exchange visas, which “do not grant their bearers the right to engage in any commercial activity.”
Russian politician Vitaly Milonov, who also authorized St. Petersburg’s ban on gay “propaganda,” also brought up the visa issue.
This isn’t the first time Mr. Milonov has had beef with the Material Girl and Mother Monster, during their 2012 tours, he attempted to take legal action against the Gaga and Madonna for reaching out to the LGBT communities during their concerts and promoting “sodomy, lesbianism, bisexuality and transgenderism among minors.”
