Lady Gaga is planning to marry “Chicago Fire” actor Taylor Kinney in Italy, sources tell Page Six.
“She wants to celebrate her heritage, so they’re looking at places in the Italian countryside. She wants a big Italian wedding,” said a source close to the singer. But the source added that they are taking their time with the planning and have yet to choose a date or venue.
“They’re still enjoying their engagement, so they have to figure out the right time to do it. They’re not fully planning yet,” said the insider.
Several designers, including Reem Acra, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, Diane von Furstenberg, Monique Lhuillier and Mara Hoffman, offered up suggestions for Gaga’s gown to WWD after Kinneyproposed last year.
Fashion insiders are expecting friend Donatella Versace to be her top choice since Gaga was the face of Versace in 2013. But our source says the singer is far from deciding who will design her gown.
“The venue is going to inspire the dress, so she has to lock that in first. It’ll make her figure out what the dress will be and who will make it.”
Gaga and Kinney met five years ago on the set of her “Yoü and I” video and started dating soon after.
“She’s more grounded [since meeting him]. She’s more at peace,” we’re told.
