The long awaited concert is at the door. Konshens who visited Uganda a year back and staged a concert for the Jubilee celebrations, sponsored by New Vision, has this time round teamed up with Alaine, a dance hall star also from Jamaica.
Information on our desk says Konshens and Alaine are already in the country and there is a meet and greet party at club venom, Kabalagala for the international musicians this Thursday, starting 7pm till late.
Konshens has also organised a Konshen’s book drive, supported by USA and Jamaica following a documentary he made after his golden jubilee concert success. Konshens is unveiling the book drive at one lucky school and this is Kololo Secondary School. He is going to donate scholastic materials including text books and much more.
This is in preparation for the much anticipated concert of the year; Konshens and Alaine live in Kampala at Luggogo Cricket oval, scheduled for this Friday, 23rd and sponsored by Pepsi.
Tickets are on sale in leading supermarkets around Kampala. Come to Club Venom, Kabalagala and rub shoulders with the Jamaican dancehall artistes.
