Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards is an event held annually in Kampala to celebrate Africa’s leading players in the fashion, style and beauty space. The event attracts fashion and beauty enthusiasts from Uganda and beyond who meet to showcase and also see the latest trends in fashion, style and beauty.
Running for it’s 7th edition, the event has grown in influence, becoming one of the most buzzed about fashion events on Africa’s social calendar.
In line with this year’s theme “The Starz” and for the first time ever, the ASFAs this year is shaping up to be the biggest edition ever and the Red Carpet showcase will feature a line-up of over 100 celebrities from across the continent, carefully selected by the teams at Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards and Talent Africa Group.
The 100 top STARZ are a selected group of individuals that have repetitively made headlines in the news through the year in their different fields in Uganda. They cut across music, fashion, politics, socialites, media, and religious leaders. The 100 Starz will be contacted individually and tipped on their walk of fame at the ASFA red carpet at the awarding ceremony.
The red carpet will be televised live on Spice TV, NTV Uganda and Spark TV for the entire continent to witness “The Starz” shine on the 13th of December 2019, at the Kampala Serena hotel.
A ticket to witness all this glamour at the ASFAs can be purchased at Abryanz collection at Garden City or Talent Africa Offices in Kololo at Shs 125,000.

Veteran Ugandan Journalist also 90.8 Metro FM’s Program Director Herbert Kyewalyanga, 40, famously known by media names ‘Herbie K’ has finally reaped-big from his sleepless academic nights.
The ‘Uganda One’ program presenter has graduated with Honors, Master’s Degree in Public Relations at St. Lawrence University.
Herbie K’s Graduation cake-cutting ceremony held at the radio premises at Martin Road, Old Kampala was graced by Metro FM’s Chief Executive Officer, Capt. Francis Babu in an entourage of his employees.
The Self-proclaimed “Usual suspect” is now a top contender among the most educated media personalities in Uganda of all time after pursuing different bachelor’s degrees in various media-related fields.
2019 proves triumphant for the 40year-old after he recently showered his baby mama with a fancy birthday dinner at Hilton Garden Inn.

American R&B star Mya has for over two decades charmed music lovers, etching her mark as a true princess of R&B all over the world.
The superstar who arrived in the country on Wednesday night was ecstatic about being in Uganda for the very first time as she addressed media during a press briefing, promising to deliver her very best this Saturday at the Johnnie Walker All Music Safari.
“I am very happy about performing and being in the motherland,” the soft-spoken artist declared during the press conference held at Mestil Hotel, Nsambya, on Thursday morning. “We have been rehearsing hard and want to give our best on our first time here in Uganda.”
She expressed her excitement for being in Uganda for the first time while also appreciating the friendliness and good spirits of those she had met ever since landing in the country.
“I can’t wait to share with you all what we have been working on— from the classics, to the hit records as well as the brand new music,” she added.
The internationally acclaimed American artist, Mýa has produced several hits that leave the soul yearning for more coming from its timeless nature with songs like Take Me There, Case of the Ex and Girls Dem Sugar that have achieved the status of timeless classics. She attributed her success to the support and effort that comes from a working with a great team with a limitless mindset to life and the world in general.
She will be sharing the stage with homegrown talents like Myko Ouma, Kenneth Mugabi and Joseph Sax amongst many others as Jazz Safari founder Tshaka Mayanja marks his 30th anniversary in the music business, a proud milestone he has achieved that has earned him respect and recognition amongst many.
Tickets to the show go for UGX300,000 Platinum/VIP tickets. Regular tickets will cost UGX100,000.
