Michael Mugwanya also known as King Michael is a dance hall artiste who was originally a deejay before joining the music industry with his hit song “Omwaana” which received massive airplay across the country . In a recent interview, the self proclaimed king of dance-hall talked about his music journey.
King Michael revealed that he was paid sh 200,000 for his first gig to perform for seven days something that did not please his bosses after his absence at his then deejay job at Lido beach.
When asked about dating sugar mummies, the singer said that they are attracted to him but he knows how to play his cards adding that Madam Sherry, the owner of Cafe Cheri in Kabalagala bought him a Toyota Surf worth 10,000 dollars because he liked the way he entertained his clients.
King Michael, who plans to build an entertainment center similar to One Love beach Busabaala, named Jose Chameleone best musician in Uganda. It should be noted that the two were once rivals but recently reunited.
He says that he has pumped over Ushs130 million in organizing Best of King Michael concert happening tonight at Club Venom which will be graced by top musicians like Chameleone, Bobi Wine, Radio and Weasel among others.
