For close to three months, Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho has been sidelined nursing an injury that has kept him out of action since November 2015 but he is now set to return to his Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia next week.

Aucho sustained the injury during a duel between Uganda and Togo in the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at Namboole, a fixture that Uganda won 3-0.

He announced his return to Gor Mahia in a Facebook post last evening amid speculation that the youngster could be searching for greener pastures.

“My teammates fans and family of Gor Mahia FC, am coming back to play for Gor Mahia because am still Gor Mahia player just feeling some small pain but I will be okay soon and I will be there next week may God bless you all I love you so much guys.”

Aucho will join Godfrey Walusimbi who also recently joined the team in camp (Nairobi) as they prepare for their forth coming CAF Champions League and pre-season tours in Sudan and Ethiopia.
