Day three of the Tusker Malt Uganda Open took an unexpected twist as defending champion Muthiya Madalitso leveled with Kopan Timbe to share the leaderboard.

Kenya’s Andersen Stefan lost the lead on day three after having led day two of the Open. Some unprecedented shots coupled with bogeys left Andersen lounging in position five of the leaderboard.

The highlight of the day still remained South Africa’s Joshua Seale who has once again managed to score in an average range. He had 72 on Day One, 72 on Day Two and 73 on Day Three to put him in third place of the leaderboard.

Kopan Timbe pulled two shots back to put him on 216 after posting 73 on Day One, 72 on Day Two and 71 on Day Three.

Muthiya Madalitso managed to fight back and stay on top after failing to lead on the first two days of the Open. He posted 73 on Day One, 70 on Day Two and 73 on Day Three leaving him tied at 216 with Kopan Timbe.

Uganda’s Mawa Saidi still holds the hopes of a Ugandan winning this year’s Tusker Malt Uganda Open Pros tournament. He sits in fourth position just two strokes behind the table leaders. He posted 70 on Day One, 72 on Day Two and 76 on Day Three All eyes will be on today’s pressure group as Kopan Timbe, Muthiya Madalitso, Joshua Seale and Mawa Saidi battle it out to win this year’s Tusker Malt Uganda Open.

These Pro golfers will be looking to win part of the UGX 110 million that Tusker Malt Lager has staked as prize winnings for the professionals.
