Singer Wahu Kagwi is among those people worldwide who have been affected by the death of Televangelist and motivational speaker, Myles Monroe who perished yesterday with his wife and 7 other people in a tragic plane crash.
Wahu recounted her first endeavour with his messages and revealed that watching His DVD when she was 18 defined her path up to where she is today.
She wrote: “Today is indeed a sad day for me. My mentor, Dr Myles Munroe his beautiful wife Ruth and their daughter passed away in a plane crash early this morning. Myles, what can i say….i am who i am today because at the age of 18, i was privileged to watch your DVD on PURPOSE. Your message was a direct answer to my prayer, as i wondered and pondered about why God placed me on this earth. I memorised your teaching, and vowed that i shall aspire to be all i can be. Just the other day i attended your womens conference at JCC, and all i can say is you were indeed a true man of God, a teacher, a mentor to many, and a powerful instrument of God almighty. I don’t know why He has chosen to take you now…but i know you are in a happy place, with the Him. who you preached and loved all your life. Rest in peace, my mentor. Your legacy will live on after you.”
