Celebrities will try walking on water and even pull other top notch stunts just to stamp their authority in the industry and look the coolest amongst their peers.
This was precisely the reason why Kenyan rapper Nasty bull who hails from Nakuru hired a replica of the “presidential escort” land rover last weekend complete with an entourage so he could cruise around promoting his new song “Ndoto Hizi”.
As many people from Nairobi travelled to Nakuru for the Prinsloo Sevens Rugby Series, Nasty Bull showed up and rode through the city center in his top notch convoy complete with body guards, all in a bid to get his music to the masses. A source close to Nasty reveals that the artiste spent close to Kshs. 40,000 to acquire the state of the art vehicle, the bouncers and the boda boda riders who caused a stir in the town center.
But where did the artiste get this “one of a kind” vehicle from? Word is that the vehicle is owned by a military base in Nakuru from where he rented it. Impressively the vehicle has been used by prominent leaders in the past during political ceremonies in major towns including Nairobi.
And when asked why he settled for such a flamboyant strategy, Nasty said that “What I did in Nakuru is no big deal, I was just marketing my brand as an artiste, and the only difference was that I used an unconventional marketing strategy.” He said.
But as if the stunt was a prediction of his dreams, Nasty Bull was also quoted saying that he would like to be a president in future.
