27 year old Dorcas Awinja from Ipali village, Luanda sub-county in Vihiga County,is currently nursing severe burns she suffered after her 33 year old husband set her on fire for going through his texts.
The lady is said to have suffered 63 per cent burns on her entire body and has wounds around her libs and private areas.
The incident took place shortly after Dorcas confronted her husband about the texts he was receiving from his other woman.
With no breaks and ability to think straight the man is said to have grabbed paraffin and poured on her nylon dress instantly setting her ablaze.
Dorcas is currently admitted at Nairobi Women’s Hospital, Nakuru branch depending on nurses and doctors to clean and take care of her as the police continue to look for her husband who disappeared after burning her.
However the husband is said to have contacted close relatives telling them his wife decided to burn herself before he disappeared into thin air.
The police are currently looking for the suspect after his wife gave them the go ahead to arrest him for the abuse.
