Kenya Starlets humiliated Uganda Crested Cranes with a 4-0 thumping on Sunday evening in an international friendly played at Moi International Sports Complex, Kisumu.
The Crested Cranes were just a goal down by halftime which was a penalty converted in the 16th minute of the game by Mary Kinuthia.
In the second half, a red card to first choice goal keeper Fatuma Matovu just a minute after restart (46) caused the biggest damage for Majidah Nantanda’s side. The numerical advantage to the Starlets was an opportunity they exploited to fire more three goals past the Cranes.

Kinuthia managed to score her second on the day; again from the penalty spot five minutes after Wendy Achieg had doubled the lead for the hosts in the 47th minute. Esse Akida was the other on the score sheet for the Kenyans.
The match was the first international game to be played by the national women’s side since 2012.
