Kent Sports Academy lifted the Ugandan flag high on Friday when they won the Dana cup in the 2014 Gothia & Dana cup tournament that took place in Denmark.
Having heard the fantastic news of the Uganda cubs thrashing Rwanda 4-0 in the U-17 game at Namboole last weekend, the Kent Sports academy boys made no mistakes to benchmark and emulate the Cubs as they went ahead to also win the Dana Cup. The Dana cup finals results came down 3-0 in favor of the Uganda with the Kent Sports Academy (UGA) defeating Eidsvold TF (NOR)in the under 17 category.
All this fantastic and entertaining news of the game took place on Friday at Hjørring Stadium in Denmark as Kent Sports Academy (KSA) were crowned champions of the 2014 U17 boy’s category. The Uganda based academy is under the ownership of prominent footballer Mike Mutyaba. The Wankuluku based football academy beat Norwegian Eidsvold Fc 3-0 in final as they ended any Norwegian dream of winning classB17 at Dana Cup 2014 with two goals in two minutes.
Former FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa will be proud to be affiliated with boys of Kent Sports Academy (KSA) as he played a great role in their grass root preparations ahead of the tournament. Information also has it that the form FUFA president contributed about Ushs180 million alongside other companies to finance the academy’s participation in the Dana cup tournament in Denmark.
