When Singer and Guitarist Kenneth Mugabi announced his Serena Hotel Concert named People of the Land, the feedback was good, the vibe was one and the anticipation was activated. Many said they couldn’t miss the show for one reason, good music.
Well, Friday evening went down in the books as one of Mugabi’s best moments in music. From a little boy roaming around the National Theatre to filling Serena Hotel’s Victoria Hall in a VIP show. The cold weather didn’t deter anyone from attending the People of Land show headlined by Mugabi as they made their way into Serena by as early as 7:30pm.
There was no major activity on stage until a few minutes to 9pm when a choir dressed in all white took to the stage with the song People of the Land playing in the background. Few minutes later, Mugabi emerged on stage, all smiles, he couldn’t believe he had pulled the numbers.
With the crowd cheering him, he immediately kicked off his performance with songs mostly from the album People of the Land. Mugabi performed back to back and made sure he didn’t leave out any song and the engagement, the ambiance gave him the zeal to go on and on.
Talking about the ambiance, Fenon Events, the company that was in charge of the production did a great job with the sound, lighting and the huge stage. The graphics displayed in the back of the stage made it more beautiful and wide enough to accommodate the band and the choir.
The glamorous event was organized by Karizm.
