Keko

By Edwin Junior

A host of celebrities have been known to use drugs, and not one or two, but several individuals have lost their careers to drug addiction. But one person who’s decided not to go that route is female rapper Keko, arguably Uganda’s best female emcee.

Keko is trying to be the best she can be. In that effort, she has says she is giving up one habit that has been known to have detrimental effects on several musicians’ career—smoking!

The “Fly Solo” rapper surprised most of her fans with the news over the weekend. She is now even fronting a ‘say no to smoking’ campaign.  Keko wrote on social media, “Because I love you, I have given it up. The struggle is real. #LetsSayNoToSmoking”

Even when the truth of her statement cannot be verified as yet, they say self confession is half way to solving a problem. We can only wish her luck in conquering her new struggle.
