The Azam Uganda Premier League defending champions Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club will head into today’s clash hoping to go second on the table should they overcome Police FC at Kavumba Recreational Stadium in Wakiso.
The Kasasiro Boys are yet to lose a single game this season while on the road to Kavumba and head Coach Abdallah Mubiru is convinced that his side has all it takes to edge the Cops.
Given their recent form that has seen them share spoils with SC Villa, edge Kiira Young 1-0 and thrash Rwenshama 3-0 leaves no doubt that the defending champions can pick a decent result when they travel to Wakiso later today.
Mubiru will look to an on-form Derrick Nsibambi who has scored twice in his last two games and has a personal tally of 7goals in the league along with Herman Wasswa and youngster William Wadri for his attack.
However, Police are not to be written off after they showed home advantage and strength as they humiliated Kiira Young 4-0 on Saturday, just days after being knocked out of the Uganda Cup by Lweza fc.
KCCA are in third place with 44 points from 22 games and a win will see them frog jump to second place past SC Villa who have 46 points from 22 games. Police are in 6th place with 34 points.
Friday fixtures:
Police vs KCCA @Kavumba Recreational Stadium
URA vs Sadolin Paints @Mehta Stadium, Lugazi
Entebbe vs SC Victoria University (live on Azam TV)
Express vs Rwenshama @Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku
