Uganda Cranes international and KCCA FC striker Brian Umony is reportedly in Thailand for trials in a club that is yet to be disclosed. The striker missed the “Kasasiro boy’s” clash yesterday against Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) who they thrashed 3-0 at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
KCCA’s head coach Goerge ‘Best’ Nsimbe confirmed the reports and further revealed that the player will be unavailable for a period of about two weeks.
“He is out of the country for trials in Thailand for at least two weeks,” Nsimbe told KCCAFC.co.ug “He is very important to our campaign but we also wish him all the best in his endeavors.”
Umony sharpness in front of goal saw him win the top scorer’s prize at this year’s CECAFA Kagame Cup that was played in Rwanda where his club KCCA finished fourth after he netted five times in the tourney.
The striker has played three games in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) this season so far and has scored two goals.
