Uganda’s representatives KCCA and Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) will need their A game to progress when they open their continental assignments next year.
The two play their preliminary fixtures in the Caf Champions League and Confederations Cup respectively on the weekend of February 7 and 14.
KCCA will visit Sudanese side Al- Merreikh in the Champions League while SCVU travel to DR Congo to face Don Bosco in the Confederations Cup.
“The #SamsungTwitterParty is back! Get ready to party the night away come 19th December at Zone 7 with fellow tweeps. Entrance is 15,000shs. Call 0775439894 for details. Great music and drinks.”
KCCA coach George Nsimbe is already a concerned man even before the New Year starts.
“I am satisfied with the rest of my squad apart from the striking department,” he said after the continental fixtures were released, adding, “I need to add at least two strikers to the team (if they are to progress).
KCCA have largely been dependant on the Tony Odur and Herman Waswa but the former is currently away in Vietnam on trials.
KCCA and Merreikh faced off in the Champions League in 2009, with the Sudanese side progressing 2-1 on aggregate.
