In a pretty competitive January transfer window, defending champions of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) have not lagged behind on strengthening their squad ahead of the second round of the UPL in a bid to defend the title. Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) have re-signed their former goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan on a two year deal.
The 25-year-old goalie has signed a two year contract which is open to further extension should he impress at the Lugogo based side. Ochan is no new face at KCC as he was part of the title winning squad in 2007/2008 and has featured for several sides since leaving the Kasasiro boys. He played for Victors and last season’s league runners up Sports Club Victoria University (SC VU).
“Am delighted to be back home. I would like to extend my gratitude to the club and technical staff and I promise to work hard in order to ensure the club wins more honours,” reads statement from Ochan on the club’s official website.
Ochan will challenge for playing time with KCC’s first choice goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi.
