After losing their friendly against El Merriekh by 2-1 during their trip to Khartoum on Tuesday evening, the Uganda Premier League (UPL) defending champions, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) return home to take on the Sudan national Olympic Football U-23 team in their next friendly.
The Lugogo based side will host the Sudanese U-23 on Saturday 24th January 2015 at the Philip Omondi stadium instead of El Hilal as earlier communicated by the club.
“Earlier, the Sudan FA had confirmed El Hilal as KCCA’s opponent on the day but the change comes after the FA stated El Hilal will take on El Merriekh in the Super Cup on that day. We shall play Sudan U-23 national football team and not El Hilal on Saturday at Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo on Saturday”, reads a statement on the club’s website.
The yellows have really stepped up their preparations for the second phase of the UPL season and the CAF champions all coming up in February, signing on a few players in the names Benjamin Ochan, Francis Olaki and Baker Lukoya whose status is yet to be confirmed at the club after Kiira Young contested his transfer.
