Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) kicked off their city trophy parade in style around different parts of Kampala on Thursday.
The three day event for the Uganda Premier League (UPL) champions started with a march from Lugogo at Phillip Omondi Stadium before making a stopover in Nakawa and then continued to the city centre. The Kasasiro Boys then moved on to the Old taxi park with concluding remarks for the day at Lugogo.
The event was graced by some musicians like Gravity Omutujju and Desire Luzinda who thrilled the fans. The club management expressed their gratitude to the crowd of fans that came out in large numbers to witness the parade.
“The Celebrations are definitely not over yet. Thank you Kampala Central for turning up,” reads a statement posted to the club’s Facebook page.
The parade continues on Friday as it enters its second day with activities set to commence from Lugogo to Kabalagala, through Makindye, Kibuye, Ndeeba with a stopover at Wandegeya then back to Lugogo.
Saturday will be the final day for the event with a tour to Mulago through Bwaise with a stopover in Kawempe.
