Iconic Kampala Capital City Authority FC assistant coach, Omulangila Bamweyana Sam Ssimbwa has been banned from all soccer related activities.
The ruling has been passed by Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) Adjudicatory Chamber of the Ethics and Integrity Committee chaired by Wiliam Byansi stating that Ssimbwa stays out of all football related activities (administrative, sports or any other).
The ban comes after Ssimbwa was implicated in a match fixing scandal where he allegedly said it’s possible to bribe match officials to tilt the results into one’s favour.
According to the local football governing body, he has already served 88 days of the ban. The 88 days he spent on provisional suspension by KCCA FC club, have been deducted from the main ban.
Simbwa who now has 10 days to appeal his suspension was earlier on asked by his club to step aside to give room for FUFA to conduct the necessary investigations into the matter.
