Ten time league champions, KCCA FC  thrashed Sports Club Victoria University (SC VU) 4-1 on the road to further extend their lead on the league table in a game that was played at Namboole Stadium.

The Kasasiro boys started the match on a high note with the captain Denis Okot notching the visitors into the lead after eleven minutes of the game with left back Joseph Ochaya providing the assist. KCCA doubled the lead before half time through Derrick Nsibambi to ensure a first half victory.

In the second stanza of the game, midfielder Jackson Nunda extended the lead to 3-0 while Muzamiru Mutyaba put the icing on the cake with the fourth in the 83rd minute. On the other hand, Swaib Kakwaya scored the only consolation for the home side who are yet to exhibit any form of consistence this season.

The result put Mike Mutebi’s side to 35 points at the top of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) and in a stretch of 7 points ahead of a second placed Vipers SC who are yet to play any game in the second round.
