League leaders Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) will be out to stretch their 9-point lead to 12 points when they host league debutants, The Saints FC at Nakivubo Stadium in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) on Tuesday evening.
The Moses Basena-coached side that have proven to be pretty stubborn and strong in the second round of the league as they fight relegation stand in the way of the Kasasiro Boys who are eager to clinch their 11th league title.
The Saints held Police FC to a one-all draw in their last league game in which they missed a penalty that cost them a potential victory to leave them standing in 13th place on the 16-team log, with just two points above relegation but with two games in hand.
Meanwhile, KCCA FC fully exploited the advantage of their title rival’s (Vipers SC) loss as they condemned JMC Hippos to a 2-0 defeat to stretch their lead to 9 points (51 points) at the top of the table with about six games left to the end of the season.
