Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) champions, Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) have revealed their trophy parading programme that kicks off on Thursday at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
The 11 time league winners and eight time Uganda Cup champions are scheduled to carry out their first ever trophy parade in the history of Uganda’s football with intent to show the prize to their fans across the City center.
Here’s a statement about the parade posted on the club’s Facebook page:
“This Thursday Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) will carry out the first ever Trophy Parade as the team and management will present the 2015/2016 Azam Uganda Premier League trophy to the Fans around the city centre.
The parade will start on Thursday July 7, 2016 to Saturday July 9, 2016, with all activities starting at the Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo On Day One, the team and the league trophy will match from Lugogo with a stop in Nakawa, drive through town, then go to the Old taxi park and then back to Lugogo.
Day two activities will commence from Lugogo to Kabalagala, through Makindye, Kibuye, Ndeeba with a stopover at Wandegeya then back to Lugogo.
The last day on Saturday will start in Lugogo, to Mulago through Bwaise with a stopover in Kawempe then to Ntinda and back to Lugogo.”
