Ugandan football Clubs have for long been criticized for failure to mobilize and capitalize on the support of their fans to develop self-sustaining and reliant club bases.
In a bid to counter the criticism, 10-time league champions and 8-time Uganda Cup winners, Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) have launched the Central Division Fans Club. The fans club was officially launched on Monday, February 15th at a ceremony attended by several key figures in the football fraternity.
“We have launched the Central Division Fans Club to make it a total of four clubs so far. The function was well attended by some key figures in football as well as club Legends. We continue to put in place avenues where our fans and supporters can come together and keep the spirit of the club alive,” reads a statement on the club’s official Facebook page.
