KCCA FC vs URA FC

By Robert Kayindi James

After unveiling a third mega sponsorship deal with Britam Insurance company, ten time league champions and eight time Uganda Cup winners, Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) who are also eyeing a record eleventh league title have embarked on bringing all their fans together in a fans gala.

On Friday, 20th May, all roads will lead to the Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo where the Kasasiro Boys’ fans from across the five divisions of Kampala and beyond will meet and mingle.

According to the organisers, gates will be open as early as 8:30 am and the fans will take part in several games and other entertaining activities.

“Tomorrow, Phillip Omondi will host the first ever KCCA FC Fans’ Gala. All KCCA FC Fans’ Clubs will come together to compete in several fun games and lots of other activities. Gates will be open from 8:30 am to 6 pm,” reads part of a statement published on the club’s official Facebook page.

The Gala comes less than a week before the coach Mike Mutebi’s yellow boys face off with another league rival Express FC next week on Tuesday in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).

“This is meant to bring together all our fans across the 5 divisions and beyond as we prepare for our Match with Express FC come 24th May, 2016,” the statement further reads.
