Uganda Cup 8 time champions, Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) have now set their sights to wining the competition for the ninth time after stumbling in the league.
KCCA has mantained consistent form in the Uganda Cup even eliminating the defending champions Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) before going ahead to thrash Ndejje 3-0 to storm into the quarter finals of the tournament.
Young striker William Wadri and the experienced midfielder Owen Kasule, who netted twice, were on the score sheet for KCCA as they eliminated Ndejje on Saturday.
Lweza was the other team that made it to the quarter finals after thumping CRO 2-0.
This implies that Police FC, SC Villa, KCCA, Lweza, Bul FC, SC Victoria University, Bright Stars and Kyambogo are the eight teams in this year’s quarter finals of the Uganda Cup. Kyambogo are the only none top flight side to have made it to this stage of the competition.
