Despite the court injunction that prohibits the airing of matches live on TV, the FUFA Azam Premier League continues today as the reigning champions Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) host army based side Simba Sports Club at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

Earlier this week on Tuesday, the Kasasiro boys managed to overcome Entebbe with a 1-0 victory at the Bugonga stadium thanks to Tom Matisko’s only goal of the game. Without table leaders Villa and second placed Vipers in action today, the defending champions have the chance to go top of the table if they see off Simba.

Meanwhile, in the city center at the Nakivubo stadium, a rejuvenated Rwenshama host Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) who are under the new management of Kampala Central MP Mohammad Nsereko. Nsereko took control of the learners club in late January this year after buying 70% of its shares.

Rwenshama who managed to shock Simba with a 2-0 on Tuesday will be looking to extend their brilliant start of the second round of the FUFA Azam Premier League as they continue to fight relegation.

With Nsereko expected to be in the stands, Victoria University will fight tooth and nail to impress their new club chairman. The rebel MP who earlier on demanded his strikers to score goals also threatened to take on their positions and play up front should they fail to net the goals. The MP is well known striker for the Ugandan Parliament.

Elsewhere, without the services of Hashim Sempala and Robert Achema, BUL football club who are under the charges of interim head coach, Joseph Mutyaba will entertain Soana at the Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.
