The defending champions of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL), Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club managed to edge Kiira Young by 1-0 in a game played at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on Wednesday evening.
Derrick Nsibambi scored the only goal of the game that handed victory to the ‘Kasasiro boys’ who are now eight points behind table leaders Vipers.
The win saw the yellow camp maintain a strong hold of their third place on the AUPL table with 41 points and also pile pressure on second placed SC Villa who are better than them with just one point. KCCA has however played one game more than the ‘Blues’. Meanwhile Kiira Young remained in the relegation zone (14th spot) with 21points from 20 matches.
The defending champions return into action on Saturday at home where they will be hosting a struggling Rwenshama.
