Ten time league champions and eight time Uganda Cup winners, Kampala Capital City Authority FC have been drawn in Group C for the CECAFA Kagame Cup that will be hosted by Tanzania from Saturday 18th July -Saturday 2nd August, 2015 in Dar es Salaam. The annual tournament attracted 13 teams from around East Africa.

Group C consists of teams like Tanzania’s Azam FC, Malakia (South Sudan) and Adama City (Ethiopia).

What makes it interesting is that group mates Azam fc are under charges of former KCCA coach George ‘Best’ Nsimbe who guided the Kasasiro Boys to two league titles (2013 and 2014) before leaving for greener pastures earlier this year in February.

KCCA’s opening fixture is against Azam FC on 19th July, then Adama City three days later before concluding the group fixtures with Malakia FC on 25th July.

The Groups:

A: Yanga (Tanzania), Gor Mahia (Kenya), Telecom (Djibouti), KMKM (Zanzibar), Khartoum-N (Sudan)

B: APR (Rwanda), Al Shandy(Sudan), LLB AFC (Burundi), Heegan FC (Somalia)

C: Azam FC (Tanzania), Malakia (South Sudan), Adama City (Ethiopia), KCCA (Uganda)
