Uganda’s representatives at this year’s CECAFA Kagame Club Championship, KCCA FC have booked a date with Sudanese side, Al Shandy in the quarter final draws held over the weekend.
The development followed KCCA’s second place finish in Group C with a sum of 6 points and three points behind leaders Azam fc. Despite losing their first game against home side Azam fc by 1-0 at the tournament, the Kasasiro boys managed to bag 1-0 wins in their last two games against Adama City and Malakia, thanks to goals by Tom Masiko and Isaac Sserunkuma respectively.
Meanwhile Al Shandy also finished second behind APR in Group B with 4 points. The game will be played on Wednesday afternoon at National Stadium, Dar es Salaam.
Group C third place finishers of Malakia from South Sudan will play Gor Mahia after being the best third placed team.
