KCCA FC and Vipers SC both bagged away victories over the weekend against Maroons FC and Soana FC respectively to jointly reclaim the top spot in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).

At Luzira grounds, Muzamiru Mutyaba scored against his former side after a barren first half while Michael Birungi was also on target as the Kasasiro Boys collected their 5th win of the season.

Patrick Kaddu pulled one back for the hosts but failed to mount enough efforts to salvage them a point.

At Kavumba Recreational grounds, two first half goals from Sadam Juma and Erisa Sekisambu gave Vipers an edge over Soana on a very slippery pitch while Dan Sewava notched one that in end turned out to be a consolation for the home side.

KCCA and Vipers are now joint top with 17 points from seven games, scoring 12 times and conceding five goals for both sides while Express are now in third place on similar points but have played a game more.

Saturday Results:

BUL 1-0 Sadolin Paints
Bright Stars 0-1 Police
URA 0-1 The Saints
Maroons 1-2 KCCA
Soana 1-2 Vipers
Lweza 0-1 JMC Hippos
