Kampala Capital City’s (KCC) newly elevated Abdallah Mubiru will be out for another challenge when the defending champions host Jinja based side Bul F.C at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo. Mubiru, the predecessor of the popular ‘George Best’ Nsimbe, took his first charges as head coach when the ‘Kasasiro boys’ were held to a 0-0 draw by the ‘Red Eagles’ of Express last week on Friday at the Wankulukuku stadium.
Mubiru, a former KCC player was promoted from the position of assistant coach to head coach after Nsimbe was relieved of his duties to prepare for his move to Tanzanian club Azam in February next year where he will serve as assistant coach for two years.
The reigning champions will be welcoming back left winger Brian Majwega after missing out on three encounters when KCC faced off with Simba S.C, Kiira Young and Express. The midfielder last featured in the club’s 3-0 win over Victoria University.
They will however be missing the services of on-loan defender Richard Kasagga from Kiira Young and Isaac Ntege who are still nursing injuries.
Jinja’s Bul F.C come on the back of a 1-0 victory over a winless Rwenshama from last week on Tuesday keeping their heads high in 5th position on the UPL table with 19points from 10 games. KCC are 3rd on the table with 21 points from the same number of games. Both teams have only lost one game each this season.
