KCB Bank to take customers on business trip to Japan

KCB Bank Uganda through their Business Club is organizing a business trip to Tokyo, Japan for its customers next month. The 10-day trip which is targeting SME owners will take place from the 2nd to 12th March and is expected to expose them to a new world of business ranging from small scale enterprises, to electronic markets, to motor vehicle industry among others.

“The SME segment is one of the key drivers of the economy, and we set up the business club to support our customers in this segment. It is an avenue where they get value to grow into bigger entities,” Edgar Byamah, the MD KCB Bank Uganda noted.

This is the 5th foreign trip the bank has organised for its customers and over 50 customers have so far benefited. “We have previously taken our customers on business trips to Germany and Turkey,” he added. “We first vet the destinations where our customers will go and identify institutions that will benefit them. We then organise business trips for them at a subsidized cost by the bank.”

The KCB Business Club is made up of SME owners running any viable and legitimate form of business in Uganda. “We continue to innovate new products tailored for SMEs which are as well suited to the circumstances and needs of our customers. The Business Club is one of the specialized product offering aimed at bringing SME clients into a team and help them benchmark what other successful businesses have done.” Godfrey Senteza, Head of SME said.

Japan is one of the most industrious nations in the world with the support of technology and also boasts of a strong business acumen built around culture. KCB customers will meet possible suppliers and markets for their goods and services, pick new best practices, new technologies and visit to key development areas in Japan.
