KCB Bank celebrates 11 years milestone with customers

KCB Bank on Thursday 29th November, appreciated their customers in a colourful ceremony held at the Kampala Serena Hotel. The event was attended by KCB Board of Directors, Ambassadors, Pwhc team, CEOs, Customers and the Media.

The bank thanked their customers for being part of the journey for the past 11 years in Uganda’s banking sector.

KCB group operates in seven markets which include; Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania. The bank boasts of having the largest Branch network with over 200 branches and 1,000 ATM locations.

Alex Mugabo, Head of Corporate Banking at KCB said; “You want to set up shop in Uganda and the other countries we operate in, we will support you as we have managed to support all our clients in markets that they see opportunities as part of our key brand values and always keep our promise.”

He added that; “If you want to have a specialised collection point we will be there to support as our branch teams are key elements in carrying out these tasks. As a primary dealer in bonds and securities, the bank is supportive as we have very competitive rates as we are experts in treasury markets throughout markets we operate in. KCB Bank also has corporate credit cards which handles travel and expense needs as we have already supported most of our customers without hustles.”

Jenipher Mirembe Ssenswa, Head of Bancassurance at KCB Bank said that they were licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority to carry out insurance services under bancassurance where they partnered with six (6) insurance companies as two of them are life insurance companies whereas the four are general insurance companies. She added that they brought on the product to make it convenient for their customers who come to the bank for other transactions but are also able to have insurance services taken on.

Addressing guests at Serena Hotel, Mr Joram Kiare, KCB Bank Director in Uganda said; “We honor your continued support to the bank for now 11 years since 17th November 2007, as we celebrate the end of yet another successful year we truly appreciate your support. We started with one branch on Kampala road and overtime we have managed to expand to now 15 branches across the country in the entire geography of Uganda today. In our Agency banking which stared last year, we have close to 270 KCB Bank agents serving our customers and enabling us to reach them conveniently.”

This year, the bank rolled out a number of products and the bank is now a one stop shop for all financial transaction needs as they will soon be opening a representative office in Beijing, China by 2019.
