Kaymu Uganda nominated for the Digital Impact Awards Africa

The invention of the Internet, telecommunications and computer networks has been leading to a variety of innovations in the digital space in Uganda and Africa as a whole. The growing number of online platforms comes with the need to make those services safe and reliable. That is why it is important to apply best practices to diminish the risks as much as possible and make this innovations, platforms, products and services sustainable. A website or mobile application that doesn’t apply best practices for cyber security could lose value due to cyber crimes in the services offered by the online platform.

The Digital Impact Awards represent a project that supports and promotes innovation and application of best practice to foster sustainability of digital innovations, services and products that deliver maximum dividends across Africa.

This year, Kaymu.co.ug, the leading online shopping community in Uganda was nominated in 3 different categories for the DIAA 2015: Best Mobile App, Best E-Commerce(Classifieds/Marketplace), Best Mobile App for Africa.

The Award Ceremony Dinner will take place on the 13th of August 2015 at Serena Hotel Kampala.
