Kawempe Muslim edge She Corporate to retain the FUFA Women Elite League title

Kawempe Muslim Women FC crowned FUFA Women Elite League champions

Kawempe Muslim Women Football club edged She Corporate 4-2 in a penalty shootout on Sunday evening to retain the FUFA Women Elite League title at heart of Kampala at Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium.

The shootout followed a goalless draw despite efforts from both sides in normal time. The triumph for Kawempe saw them lift the title once again in the two season old league.

Sandra Nabweteeme also walked away with the league top scorers’ accolade having netted 23 goals in 14 games. Earlier on, UCU Lady Cardinals beat Gafford Ladies by 2-0 to win the third place playoff with both Jackie Nakaasi and Liz Nakigozi on target.
