Coca-Cola has partnered with #BeApp, a new live music streaming platform, to launch Coke Studio Sessions, an exclusive collaboration featuring a diverse line-up of musical performances for fans to enjoy over 60 consecutive days.

Live performances from more than 100 artists across the globe, including Katy Perry, Anitta, DJ Khaled, Bebe Rexha, Miguel, Cast of Hamilton and Steve Aoki will refresh fans one virtual performance at a time and support the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

Coke Studio Sessions marks the official debut of #BeApp, the social live music streaming platform from tech industry veterans Ray Smith and Ross Mason. #BeApp is an immersive, digital destination for fans to enjoy live music in a new way.

“#BeApp was designed for digital connection through a shared love of live music, and people need that connection now more than ever,” said Ray Smith, founder of #BeApp. “We’re thrilled to have Coca-Cola as our exclusive launch partner as we introduce #BeApp to fans around the world through unique new experiences.”

Throughout the 60-day program, fans will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to support Covid-19 efforts.

Melkamu Abebe, General Manager for Coca-Cola Beverages Africa in Uganda (Century & Rwenzori Bottling Companies), said the entertainment app would combine music with public health and a noble humanitarian cause.

“They say music is food to the soul; if we can use music to support a good cause then it’s a great start, that’s what I would term as killing two birds with one stone. We get to bring you entertainment during this lockdown while raise resources to support a worthy cause for the vulnerable across the world. We are happy to be a part of this partnership,” he said.

The Coca-Cola Foundation has donated over $14 million to individual Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies around the world in response to Covid-19 and will additionally match up to a collective total of $3 million in consumer donations made through this program.

Former employee of 88.2 Sanyu FM, James Onen aka Fatboy is set to return on radio after almost two months of unemployment.

Fatboy was fired in June this year after reportedly masterminding a sit-down strike at the Kampala based ‘urban music station’.

This sent the radio management despairing for Fatboy’s quick replacement in the Sanyu FM Breakfast Club show and it’s perfect choice landed on comedian Patrick Salvado Idringi and RadioCity’s Miss Deedan.

The good news for Fatboy’s fans is that he has now new commitments with Reckless Radio.

His services will be in ‘The Fat Boy’ show airing from Monday to Friday, 6AM-10AM.

“The Fatboy Show” is a top quality 4-hour daily entertainment radio show hosted by James ‘Fatboy’ Onen, veteran radio presenter who for over two decades has been a dominant voice on morning prime time FM radio.

Joining him is Olive, a soft-spoken intellectual with a background in news, and the attitude of a soldier.

Reckless Radio is a Uganda-based digital radio station created by James ‘Fatboy’ Onen that aims to serve the needs of a growing class of media consumers who are looking for high quality radio content.

Congratulations FatBoy!

Multitalented personality, Kityamuwesi Herbert famously known as Crysto Panda is not stopping anytime soon when it comes to his music career. Although many had said that he landed a hit by chance, the Dance Party TV star has proved them wrong with another song.

Before we could digest his massive banger, ‘Kyoyina Omanya’ Panda has already added a new song ‘Bino’ to our menu.

‘Bino’ is roots from ‘Bino ebiluma abayaye’, one of the trending Luganda slangs to mean ‘what hurts people’.

In ‘Bino’, Crysto maintains his renown dancehall fusion style.

The song consists of pleasantly dazzling drums produced by Artin Pro (Axtra Nation studios).

This website has also learned from the artiste’s close friends that a high-budget video is underway within this month.

The NBA 2019/20 season has resumed after nearly five months break occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic. Pay Television Company StarTimes will broadcast the games through the ESPN channel.

The NBA games will be unlike any previous year with COVID-19 SOPs keeping fans away and the action taking centre stage at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex, inside Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

The StarTimes Uganda Marketing Director, Isma Lule noted that basketball is rapidly gaining popularity in Uganda, as StarTimes we are excited to bring the best Basket Ball league in the World to Ugandans. Stars like James Lebron and Giannis are such an inspiration in the basket Ball community. The Action will be live on ESPN Channel on Classic , Smart Bouquet and on Smart phone via the StarTimes GO App

Only the best 22 of the league’s 30 teams will participate. Each team will play eight games to finish the regular season. From these, the top seven teams in each conference will advance, with the final eighth seed in each conference being determined by a potential play-in tournament before the traditional 16-team playoffs.

LeBron James’ LA Lakers are the outstanding favorites to take the title. When the NBA season was postponed, the Lakers sat atop the West with a 49-14 mark.

In the West, the other contender is the Clippers. Prior to the beginning of the 2019-20 season, the Clippers were considered favourites to win the title after they added to their ranks Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

The only squad with a better mark than the Lakers is the Milwaukee Bucks. Led by the “Greek Freak” Giannis Antetokounmpo, they have benefited from playing in the significantly weaker Eastern Conference.

NBA on StarTimes is a continuous assurance to our customers, that we shall always give you affordable quality sports.
