Ugandan South Africa based business man Katumba Shafiq a.k.a Katsha De’bank narrowly escaped death when he was hijacked by unknown masked men.
Katsha was allegedly hijacked by unknown men who demanded to search his vault where he keeps his money and jewels. A then timid Katsha said he offered the hijackers 7000 dollars and promised to add them another fee if they let him free.
Katsha who has a recorded conversation with them said: “I was hijacked by 3 men who eagerly wanted to steal my money which I keep in the safe & to kill me nga bw’ogenda okuwulira mu ka clip. They went with my $7000 which I had in cash & they threatened to kill me. I saw how serious the issue was and I decided to promise them a higher fee if they don’t kill me. I also promised them to double the fee if they tell me their boss. After some agreements, these men who seemed to be Zimbabweans told me the truth that it’s KING LAWRENCE who sent them”.
Katsha further said he is sure his former employee King Lawrance was behind the kidnap some thing he said was revealed to him by the kidnappers. He said: “It all started like this; I employed King Lawrence to act as my accountant in all my business here at Sandton City, he agreed the offer since it was a dream job. I gave him all the freedom in my business until when I realised nti guy yali anziba. I fired him naye maama, omusajja anfuukidde ezikke”.
