South Africa based Ugandan tycoon Katsha and his friends are set to establish a record label in Uganda, we have learnt. The record label will be called TMT Africa and has already been established in Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa. It is set to be launched in Uganda this December.
“We are already working in Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania. Currently in East Africa, we are trying to identify talent and soon we will be signing musicians,” confirmed Gitawo.
He added that, “we shall officially launch it at the Money and Gold party slated for December 30 at Club Guvnor.”
Gitawo also confirmed that the launch of the label in Uganda will see the group invest Shs 1billion to ensure that the signed musicians get maximum attention while grooming their talent. “We will sign singers from all the member countries and allow them work together,” he continued.
TMT record label has its founding members as Katsha, Meddie Ssentongo and Cameroon Gitawo.
