A few days ago, Bukedde TV Full Doze presenter, Katongole Omutongole, was fired from his job at the Vision Group owned TV station. News on our desks indicates that the funny presenter who was sacked for contravening the company’s code of ethics has now been replaced.
“Yes, someone has taken over his job now that he is not here and he is working with Beat FM. A lady has been put in his place although I don’t have the full details,” said our source at the station.
News on our desk indicates that the lady who has taken over is called Flavia Namulindwa. She has been tasked with maintaining the popularity of the Full doze program as she attracts more fans to the show.
Our sources at Bukedde have revealed to us that Katongole had never been forgiven by his bosses for tarnishing the name of their brand in the media and before clients, the way he did following his defilement sex scandal.
The TV presenter who was accused of allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl in January this year dragged Bukedde through the mud with him as he was persecuted by the media and public for his ‘part’ in the case.
He caused a lot of pain to the station after he was netted by Police in Bweyogerere as he tried to bribe the victim’s brother not to pursue the defilement case. Much as the case was later dropped and his job handed back to him, management thought it fit to fire him for all the damage he had done according to an insider at Bukedde.
“Most of us had anticipated this because we know that he brought shame to the Bukedde name. The top guys say that he failed to keep the company’s ethics and for sure he couldn’t survive another month here. Dragging the company into such scandals is not taken lightly here and now he has been shown the exit at the first available opportunity. When they found out that he was working for rivals, they used that. Only God knows who could be next,” the source lamented.
