Hollywood’s worst kept secret is about to get a lot more complicated. Katie Holmes and Jamie Fox, who have quietly been dating since last summer, are at odds over keeping their budding romance under wraps – because Katie is ready to go public! “She wants them to move in together,” reveals a pal. “She’s madly in love.”
Indeed, the actress, 35, who currently lives in New York City with daughter Suri,7, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise, 51, has been begging a reluctant Jamie to get more serious and stop dragging his feet. But the Ray actor, 46, wants to keep things quiet out of respect for Tom, with whom he’s had a long-standing friendship since the two starred in 2004’s Collateral.
“Katie understands Jamie’s thinking when it comes to Tom,” explains the pals, “but she also thinks life is too short to cater to Tom’s feelings.”
