Approximately 24,000 people are expected to spend their weekend in Bagamoyo from 6th -8th November 2015, where the Karibu Music Festival will be held to promote African culture and strengthen the bond between other international cultures.
Aziza Ongala, General Manager of Legendary Music explained that the vision of Karibu Music Festival is to create a unique festival in East Africa, but also to create the long term development of the economy and community growth in Bagamoyo.
Andrea Guzzoni, Country Manager of Jovago Tanzania, added that, “Bagamoyo is of one the historical cities which is also one of the heritage sites in Tanzania that contribute to the national income.”
He adds that, “Regardless of its history and national parks, there is little awareness about the tourism attractions found in Bagamoyo, hence this event will bring more opportunity for local people and foreigners to know more about the city.”

Bagamoyo is the most famous city in Tanzania and East Africa, it is located at the North of Dar es Salaam on the coast of the Indian Ocean close to Zanzibar, it was one of the trading ports during the colonial era, the city is also recognized as one of the world heritage site recognized by UNESCO.
