The second edition of Miss Tourism Karamoja happened on Saturday at Mt. Moroto hotel in Moroto district as girls from different districts making up the Karamoja region battled for the crown. Girls from Kabong, Nakapiripiriti, Moroto and others all gathered to showcase their talents.
The show which started at around 8:45 in high gear was affected by the heavy down fall which forced the organisers to change the venue of the event.
Among the eight girls that participated, three emerged winners and are going to represent Karamoja at the national level.
Aleper Pamela, 19, was the overall winner of the pageant. Achiru Evelyn, 20, was first runner up and Nakapwon Carol Loy, 20, was second runner up.
