The Kampala Sun is once again back to a good working relationship with Busoga Kingdom after a recent issue that almost ruined their working relationship.
The standoff was caused by a recent publication by the Vision Group owned tabloid accusing the young Kyabazinga Gabula Nadiope William IV of engaging himself in sexual immorality.
According to our sources, Vision group held a meeting with Busoga Kingdom top officials to apologize over the bad image they had created in public of the Busoga Kyabazinga and it promised to deal with all the people involved in framing up such ridiculous stories after it was revealed that they were paid by unknown people who wanted to see Busoga Kingdom down.
Last week, Students around universities gathered as they burnt all Vision group newspapers especially The Kampala Sun as a way to show how angry they were about the lies that were spread about their Cultural leader. The Kampala Sun bowed down as it headlined the Apology on their front page to the Busoga Kingdom after they had promised to burn and ban them from Selling in all Busoga districts.
The apology reads in part; “The Kingdom authorities have clarified that the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Nadiope Gabula IV is not involved in any relationship with Pretty Winnie Mwogeza as our story; “Leave my women alone – Busoga King” published Friday December 18, 2015 may have implied or insinuated. Instead, the two are relatives. It has further been clarified that the Kyabazinga of Busoga was quoted in that story. We therefore wish to apologize to the Kyabazinga and the Kingdom for the inconvenience that may have been caused by our story.”
We will keep you posted.
