It is less than three weeks to the highly anticipated Coca-Cola sponsored 2018 Kampala Rolex Festival. The festival that returns for a third edition is scheduled to take place on 19th August 2018 at The Uganda Museum.
Organised by the Rolex initiative together with the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, the Kampala Rolex Festival is just another example of Coca-Cola’s continued association with food and belief in one of the most celebrated rituals among families and friends – enjoying meals together. The festival also presents a unique opportunity for Ugandan rolex vendors, consumers, corporate companies and tourism institutions to celebrate Uganda’s most popular dining offering and the country’s rich and original food culture.
For the past one month, residents of Kampala, Entebbe and Jinja have enjoyed rolex combos courtesy of Coca-Cola in the ongoing Rolex Week activations. As part of the activations, vendors compete to determine who makes the best rolex and winners are rewarded with brand new Coca-Cola coolers and cartons of Coca-Cola.
Commenting about the festival, Coca-Cola Uganda Brand Manager Ms. Miriam Limo expressed her delight to be part of the celebration of a local food consumed by different people with different backgrounds and social classes.
“Coca-Cola is proud to renew its association with Kampala Rolex Festival. This festival gives us an opportunity to offer our consumers a unique moment and experience of pairing their favorite rolex with an ice cold Coca-Cola. We remain committed to offering our consumers unique moments and experiences as they enjoy their favorite drink in the right company,” she commented.
The next activations will be held in Mengo, Kamwokya and Bwaise on the 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd of August respectively.
