Kampala’s foodies will once again get a chance to eat from more than 40 participating restaurants for 10 days as the Kampala Restaurant Week (KRW) returns for its fourth edition next week.
The organizer’s announced at a media launch on Thursday that this year’s event which is set to run from August 1st to 11th will also be switching things up by introducing the option of coupons for restaurant goers to use instead of them having to pay cash at the participating eateries.
The event which is organized by Pearl Guide in partnership with Tusker Lite aims to showcase Uganda’s finest restaurants while giving customers discounts on some of the most delicious and creatively made dishes on the market.
“We thought we would give food lovers a seamless fine dining experience by making it possible for them to enjoy meals at dozens of top notch restaurants in Kampala as well as major Ugandan towns without them having to pay cash,” said Pearl Guide’s Philip Kalibwani.
The showcase will also include quizzes, cook-offs and lots of dining vouchers to be won with a closing award giving ceremony to be held on August 13.
“We are excited to be a part of Kampala Restaurant Week yet again. We look forward to an incredible week of superb gastronomic treats paired with Tusker Lite and enjoyed in the company of friends,” said Grace Namutebi, UBL’s Brand Manager, Premium Beers.
She confirmed that Tusker Lite will also be continuing with its tradition of providing a complimentary bottle for all KRW menus, while some restaurants will offer wine pairing options and quick creative lunches throughout the week.
