Uganda’s army side Simba host Bright Stars in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) today at the Bombo military stadium. It’s going to be an interesting matter when Fred Kajoba returns home with Bright Stars to point his guns at his former bosses with whom he allegedly fell out with over disciplinary matters and inconsistent results though other sources suggested otherwise (contract issues).
Simba’s John Kayanja who played a very big role in bringing Bright Stars to the top flight two seasons back will be eager to show his former employers that he was worth holding on to. Head coach Haruna Kebba will not be available to lead his side as he is off for national duties with the Uganda Sand Cranes. Simba are 11th on the table with just 12 points from 11 games while the guests, Bright Stars are 8th with 16 points from 11 matches.
Elsewhere, at the heart of Kampala in the Nakivubo stadium 15th placed Entebbe F.C will host a highly motivated 10th placed Sadolin Paints who beat Lweza by 1-0 last week on Friday. A 7 point gap separates the two sides despite having played the same number of games (11games.) Entebbe lost to Bright Stars last week on Friday by 2-1 at Lugogo.
