Justin Bieber appears to have deleted his Instagram account following a war of words with his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
The singer had threatened to make the account private after his followers posted abuse about his rumoured new girlfriend Sofia Richie.
He posted that the hate for the 17-year-old model was ‘getting out of hand’, prompting Gomez to tell her ex-boyfriend to simply stop posting the photos.
Bieber appears to have followed through with his threat, with his Instagram page now showing the message: “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”
It comes after the popstar traded insults with American actress and singer Gomez, who he once dated, on the photo-sharing site.
Bieber wrote: “I’m gonna [sic] make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”
Gomez then commented under the post: “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you. They were there for you before anyone.”
The Baby singer responded he thought the comments were ‘sad’, writing back: “It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love.”
He added: “I’m not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope u [sic] all can be kind to my friends and each other. And yes, I love all my beliebers.”
Gomez then accused Bieber of cheating on her when they were dating, hitting back: “Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. All love.”
Selena then uploaded a photo collage of her fans with the caption: “My whole life. You matter most. Thank you letting me do what I love every day.”
